Golfy is a golf course collector app for iPhone. You check in at every course you play, earn XP based on how rare that course is, unlock badges and compete with friends on leaderboards. Think of it as a passport for your golf life.

No. Golfy tracks the courses you've played, not every stroke. You log a score at check-in so friends can compete for King of the Course, but there's no rangefinder or shot tracking — it's about building your collection.

Golfy covers more than 12,000 golf courses across all 50 states and Washington, DC, each scored for rarity. If you can't find a course, contact support and we'll add it.

Every course gets a rarity score from 0 to 100 based on scarcity, exclusivity and difficulty, grouped into Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary tiers. A first check-in earns 2.5 XP per rarity point plus a tier bonus of up to 500 XP for Legendary courses.

Golfy is free to download. Full access requires Go Pro: $3.99 per month or $19.99 per year, both with a 2-week free trial, or $59.99 for lifetime access.

Golfy is currently iOS only (iPhone and iPad, iOS 17 or later). Android is on the roadmap — email support@joingolfy.app to be notified.

No. You can check in from anywhere, any time — the day you play or years later when you're rebuilding your history. Golfy asks for the date you played and your score.

Yes. Backfilling is one of the best parts: search each course you remember playing, pick the date (or your best guess) and check in. Every one counts toward your XP, badges and collection.

Course XP is awarded once per course, on your first check-in. Repeat rounds still log your score and play count, and they count toward King of the Course, so you can defend your crown.

For every course, the friend with the lowest posted score wears the crown. It's a friends-only leaderboard per course, plus a map of every course your group has played and who rules each one.

Badges reward milestones (first course, 5, 10, 25 courses…), geography (courses in multiple states or regions), rarity (rare and legendary check-ins) and special challenges. Badges also carry an XP bonus. Some are surprises you only discover by earning them.

The course database currently covers the US. International courses are planned — email support@joingolfy.app if there's a country you'd like prioritized.

The 2-week free trial on the Monthly and Yearly plans unlocks all of Golfy: unlimited check-ins, badges, lists, leaderboards and the friends feed. You won't be charged if you cancel before the trial ends.

Subscriptions are billed through Apple. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Golfy and tap Cancel. You keep access until the end of the current period.

In the app go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Your data is removed within 30 days. You can also email support@joingolfy.app from the address on your account.

Email support@joingolfy.app with the course name and location. We add missing courses and correct details regularly — you'll be able to check in as soon as it's live.
